KS4 At Impact
Impact’s curriculum seeks to provide strong personal development by supporting and promoting the IIS values – Reach, Belong, Evolve.
KS4 is our ‘qualification’ phase for Years 10 and 11. All KS4 students are based at our Cradley site.
Our curriculum ensures continuity and progression within the school and between phases of education, increasing students’ choice during their school career.
All students receive a broad and balanced curriculum at Key Stage 4 by offering a wide range of GCSE subjects and equivalent vocational qualifications.
GCSE subjects and non – GCSE equivalents at Key Stage 4 are recognised in the performance tables.
Impact use Edexcel Awarding Body for our accredited qualifications.
RSE and PSHE are delivered through weekly timetabled sessions, as well as ongoing SMSC education across all subjects where appropriate.
We offer our KS4 students two different pathways:
GCSE Pathway and Vocational Pathway.
If you would like further information about our curriculum then please contact school.
Biology
In Biology, Year 11 have completed the microscope required practical.
They have used the light microscopes to look at plant and animal cell structures and have drawn what they could see.

Important Notice:
It is vitally important that your child has a secured Post 16 placement for September as your Child Benefit stops on 31 August on or after your child’s 16th birthday if they leave education or training. It continues if they stay in approved education or training, but you must tell the Child Benefit Office. You will be sent a letter from the Child Benefit Office in your child’s last year at school asking you to confirm their Post 16 plans.

Some of our Year 11 students were invited to visit The National Careers Event at Millennium Point in Birmingham. They had the chance to gain important access to independent apprenticeship and careers advice from Top UK Employers, Universities and Training Providers.
